Outdoor Safety
Leave trip information with relatives, friends or responsible party:
- Where you're going and when you're returning
- Names and addresses of people going

Stick with trip plan and schedule or notify responsible party of change.
Don't go alone. A party of at least two or three is recommended.
Preplan your route carefully. Use maps and guide books. Consult with people who know the area.
Get a weather report of the trip area. Call the weather service, check the Internet, ask locals.
Go properly clothed and equipped for the season and for unexpected weather. Check all your gear before leaving.
